Toner

This page will show you how to create a cable Tone Genorator and Wand for about $12 instead of buying one at your local hardware or cable supply store for $50 to $100. There are two different versions, each creates a different sound.

1. Toner

Tone 1:

JAL PIC CODE - Jal PIC Programming Code - Site

ASM CODE - Code in assembly language

HEX CODE - Hex code, ready to be copied to your PIC-12F675

Tone 2:

JAL PIC CODE - Jal PIC Programming Code - Site

ASM CODE - Code in assembly language

HEX CODE - Hex code, ready to be copied to your PIC-12F675

Pin Numbers for 12F675: VCC = Pin 1, OUT = Pin 5, GND = Pin 8

Connect the outputs to a phone plug, aligator clamps, cable end or whatever you wish. You may change the values as you please, thease are just suggestions, however, I suggest you don't use the cyilinder shaped capacitors. I purchase the 12F675 chip off Ebay, and will sell it ready to use for $7 to anyone nearby. Be careful with the brittle pins on the 12F675 chip.

2. Wand

The antenna can just be a piece of wire. If you want to get fancy you can use a ferrite core with magnetic wire twisted around it with a shaped tip for the antenna. R3 and R4 are both volume. But after you get the right volume on R4 you can just use R3. You MUST use C2 directly across the V+ and GND pins of LM741. You can change C1 and C3 for additional gain/volume.
